Latvian courses at our language school are suited for both beginners and more advanced students. You can learn Latvian at different levels that are tailored to your previous knowledge. After a free placement exam and/or a short conversation, we will find the fitting level for you.

The newest teaching methods and course materials in combination with highly qualified, experienced teachers with a degree in Latvian as a foreign language, promise rapid progress. The language of instruction at Sprachenatelier is Latvian from the beginning. Online or in person – you decide.

If you don’t see a course offering that is right for you, you can send us your enquiry through the contact form – maybe you want to join an intensive course together with friends, family, classmates or colleagues and prepare for a stay abroad? We are happy to create an individual offer.

Please note that most courses will be taught in both German and the target language (esp. beginner levels), and we recommend at least a B1/B2 level in German. Please contact us if you have any concerns about this. For some classes (e.g. very advanced levels or private lessons) you might not need any German.

The most effective way to learn Latvian is to join a Latvian Intensive Course at the Sprachenatelier. The courses last two weeks during which you will work on Latvian in small groups, online or in person, from morning to night. But don’t worry, you won’t miss out on fun! Our Latvian lessons are varied and you will practice vocabulary and grammar, reading and listening as well as speaking in different situations (role play).

The focus of Latvian private lessons is on you and your goals: do you want to learn the everyday Latvian language? Or do you want to practice Latvian professional and specialist language? At the beginning of your private lesson, we ask you in detail about your wishes and goals and determine your current language level. We will then work with you to develop and individually tailored training program, which guarantees fast progress!
