Learn Latin online or in person

Latin courses at our language school are suited for both beginners and more advanced students. You can learn Latin at different levels that are tailored to your previous knowledge. After a free placement exam and/or a short conversation, we will find the fitting level for you.

The newest teaching methods and course materials in combination with highly qualified, experienced teachers with a degree in Latin as a foreign language, promise rapid progress. The language of instruction at Sprachenatelier is Latin from the beginning. Online or in person – you decide.

Please note that most courses will be taught in both German and the target language (esp. beginner levels), and we recommend at least a B1/B2 level in German. Please contact us if you have any concerns about this. For some classes (e.g. very advanced levels or private lessons) you might not need any German.

Course options

At the Sprachenatelier you can learn Latin alongside your work or studies in our evening courses – online or in person. The lessons are specially tailored to your class to individually challenge you with a specific training program.

The most effective way to learn Latin is to join a Latin Intensive Course at the Sprachenatelier. The courses last two weeks during which you will work on Latin in small groups, online or in person, from morning to night. But don’t worry, you won’t miss out on fun! Our Latin lessons are varied and you will practice vocabulary and grammar, reading and listening as well as speaking in different situations (role play).

Latin private lessons – either online or in person – include an individually tailored training program for you. You determine (almost) everything: number of hours per day, duration, learning speed and learning content (e.g. preparation for a language exam). Your needs and goals in learning Latin are the center of our attention!
