Japanese courses at our language school are suited for both beginners and more advanced students. You can learn Japanese at different levels that are tailored to your previous knowledge. After a free placement exam and/or a short conversation, we will find the fitting level for you.

The newest teaching methods and course materials in combination with highly qualified, experienced teachers with a degree in Japanese as a foreign language, promise rapid progress. The language of instruction at Sprachenatelier is Japanese from the beginning. Online or in person – you decide.

Please note that most courses will be taught in both German and the target language (esp. beginner levels), and we recommend at least a B1/B2 level in German. Please contact us if you have any concerns about this. For some classes (e.g. very advanced levels or private lessons) you might not need any German.

Are you busy working or studying during the day, and only have time in the evening? Then our Japanese Evening Courses, online or in person, are perfect for you. The classes are interesting and challenge you, but are always individually tailored to your class and level, so you can successfully learn Japanese.

Whether online or in person, at the Sprachenatelier Berlin you will learn Japanese quickly and effectively through small group instruction in our Japanese Intensive Courses. Our courses specifically target language skills such as conversation, grammar, vocabulary, listening and writing. Learn Japanese and have fun!

Good to know: our intensive courses are recognized by the Berlin Bildungsurlaubsgesetz (BiUrlG) (Educational Leave Act) – Berlin employees can apply for a leave of absence from their employer for the duration of the courses.

In our Japanese Conversation Courses, the emphasis is on spoken Japanese. We will work to reduce speech barriers, expand your vocabulary and refresh grammatical topics.

The level required for the Japanese Conversation courses is A2/B1. Depending on the course set up, the course will train active listening, reacting spontaneously in conversation situations, phone calls, interviews and customer conversations. Learn to communicate in Japanese stress-free in everyday life.

Japanese private lessons – either online or in person – include an individually tailored training program for you. You determine (almost) everything: number of hours per day, duration, learning speed and learning content (e.g. preparation for a language exam). Your needs and goals in learning Japanese are the center of our attention!
