Kurdish Film Festival in Berlin

Since 2002, mîtosfilm has organized the Kurdish Film Festival in Berlin in cooperation with Sprachenatelier Berlin.
Our sponsors have already included the Lotto Stiftung Berlin and the Hauptstadtkulturfonds. The festival offers Kurdish filmmakers from all over the world the opportunity to present their films to a cosmopolitan audience. We create intimate insights into the Kurdish culture and political situation that cannot be given in everyday media. We see the festival as a meeting place for different cultures as well as a platform for political discussions and artistic exchange. Supporting events such as panel discussions or concerts complement the carefully curated art house film program. Our program reflects the diversity of Kurdish society and Kurdish filmmaking and encourages exchange. The Kurdish Film Festival in Berlin is a meeting place for everyone interested in a peaceful dialogue about politics, art and culture.
