Schlachtensee

Located in the southwest of Berlin, Schlachtensee is a true jewel among Berlin's lakes. Surrounded by forests, it offers a 7 km long path for walking and jogging and clean water for swimming. Those who don't like walking on hot days can sunbathe on a large lawn, easily accessible from Schlachtensee S-Bahn station. For those who prefer something more private, there are many other places where you can easily get into the fresh water. However, it is advisable to swim close to the shore, as the lake is up to 8.5 metres deep in some places and can be dangerous due to swirls.
