Topographie des Terrors

This Wednesday, we will go to one of the most visited places of remembrance in Berlin. At the site where the headquarters of the Secret State Police, the SS and the Reich Security Main Office were located during the Third Reich, the exhibition "Topography of Terror" today provides information about the most important institutions of the National Socialist persecution and terror apparatus.

The Reichsführungs-SS, the Sicherheitsdienst (SD), the Geheime Staatspolizeiamt (Gestapo) including the prison and the Reichssicherheitshauptamt (Reich Security Main Office) were located on the site near Potsdamer Platz. Today, the "Prinz-Albrecht-Gelände" serves as a place of remembrance and contributes to coming to terms with the terror regime with its permanent exhibitions.
