Ausflug zum Konzentrationslager Oranienburg
KulturSonntag
The Oranienburg concentration camp was built in February 1933 on the site of an old brewery frequented by the Sturmabteilung (SA). The official opening of the camp took place on 21 March 1933, one day after the camp in Dachau. The camp was thus one of the first Nazi concentration camps. It was closed in July 1934, but by then three thousand men and three women had been imprisoned there. On 9 July 1934, almost 16 people were killed by the guards, including the writer and anarchist Erich Mühsam.
For the first time we are organizing an excursion on a Sunday. This activity is for everyone from the language studio! Come with us and discover the Sachsenhausen memorial and museum in Oranienburg.
Registration is required for this excursion, a list is posted on the notice board at reception. Please write down your first and last name.
