"bubales" puppet theatre: „Isaak und der Elefant Abul Abbas“

A Jewish puppet theatre in German and Arabic? Does this exist? Of course, in Berlin. It’s called „bubales“ and it is the first Jewish puppet theatre in Berlin. „bubales“ leads its audience through the colourful world of Jewish holidays, traditions and jokes. Together with Syrian artists the puppet theatre created a play called „Isaac and the elephant Abul Abbas“, a story based on a historical event in medieval Aachen.  What’s special is that the play is bilingual: German – Arabic. Come by and get to see our Salon as a theatre stage.
