A couple enjoying a day in the park can be quite a depressing sight for a single person. Especially when your own love life has just taken a turn for the worst or there's trouble with the ex. Martin Rosenplänter has had his fair share of experience in this area and wants to share it. He's also trying to make a point: German music is good too.
The relevance of German music is something that's very important to Martin Rosenplänter and his band, The Consequences. Their debut concert will be performed by the four musicians at the end of April 2004, in the Mau-Club in Rostock infront of over 200 enthusiastic guests. In August 2004 the band can be heard on at Hansesail in the Rostock Port. Shortly afterwards, the band performed gigs all over Germany. After a year's break due to the absence of the band leader at the Croatian University of Zagreb, Martin Rosenplänter and The Consequence reformed. And what a reformation that was! In Decemeber 2005 the radio station NDR2 mentioned them as a new comers and they increased their fanbase further. Other radio stations played their songs too, while one Rostock television station reported about one of their gigs. In the summer of 2006, Martin Rosenplänter played his first solo concert outside of Germany, namely in the Croatian city of Varazdin, amazing the crowd.
Singer and guitarist Martin Rosenplänter founded his first rock band at 13 years of age and has been writing songs for at least 8 years now. They are usually in an ironic/comedic or romantic style and always in German. His band mates are all musicians, having studied the subject. Christoph Rosenplänter, Martins brother, played the drums during the open-air concert called Bnena in 2003. Also, during the Harald Schmidt Show, Bleike Lehmann played keyboard and changed his reputation from jazz composer to keyboarder for a rock band. The bassist Gero Parmentier became the jazz guirist and lutenist for the band. Rosenplänter, Lehmann und Parmentier all graduated with a degree in Music from Hannover.
