Culture Wednesday
Museum Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf
This Wednesday we are taking you to the museum Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf.
Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf is located not far from the historic district Mitte, is called “the pretty sisters” in Berlin and is described as another city centre.
The story of this district is known for its reunification and thanks to the museum for its artistic exhibition divided in four parts such as Boulevard, Cinema, Media station and District Pantheon.
The Boulevard exhibition chronicles museums owned artefacts and their history. In the Cinema exhibition we have access to some sequences of films that show the history of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. The Media station section illustrates the development of the district over the past 300 years and the last exhibition introduces some important characters in politics, culture, education, photography and so on at Villa Oppenheim.
