Picnic and badminton under the cherry blossoms
Is there something better than meeting friends for a picnic in the park? Cherry trees are currently blooming in many corners of Berlin. In the year 1990, Japan planted 9,000 cherry trees in Germany in order to express their joy about the reunification of Germany. Many of these cherry trees are located in Berlin. In Japan, the cherry blossoms are a symbol for the arrival of the spring and are believed to bring peace and tranquillity to people.
The cherry trees are also in bloom here in Blankenstein Park. So let's get our picnic blankets and admire the cherry blossoms together. You can bring something from home for a picnic or buy something to eat and drink in the REWE right next to the park. We will also bring balls and racquets to play badminton so that we can have some fun together!
